Our selection of treated nets use LifeSystems EX8 Anti-Mosquito Treatment.This is a Permethrin based treatment that varies from most other treated nets because EX8 'holds' the Permethrin in the fibres of the nets.  These additives along with the Permethrin are combined with the base yarn before weaving, hence a long lasting rating of 2 years or 35 washes.The EX8 treatment also makes it almost totally water resistant. Although not recognized by the WHO, as yet, LifeSystems nets are second to none for quality design and value. They are manufactured with 196 holes per square inch mesh and nylon rip-stop hems.The permethrin used in these fantastic quality travel nets has a low toxicity to humans and is found in most household insecticides and is registered with the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
