What are the cotton nets made of?

Cotton mosquito nets purchased from Mosquitonets.com are made from the highest quality netting available. All cotton nets are made from 100% pre-washed cotton netting with a run-proof weave. The run proof weave gives the netting a slightly chequered appearance. The nets are hemmed with a cotton fabric.

How do I clean my cotton mosquito net?

Due to their strength and resilience the nets may be machine washed on delicate cycle using cold water and a mild detergent OR hand washed in cold water using a mild detergent OR dry cleaned. Do Not Tumble Dry. Do Not Hot Wash. Do Not Spin Dry. Pull and stretch the netting to shape while still damp after washing to retain length.

Does the cotton mosquito netting come without the chequered pattern?

No. The chequered pattern of our netting is due to the run-proof weave and a feature of the quality manufacturing process. 

Do we supply hooks for the mosquito nets?

No. They can be purchased from local hardware stores to suit individual needs and requirements. Please consult a qualified tradesman if necessary. Conventional cup hooks may be used on timber ceilings and we recommend spring toggle hooks on plaster ceilings.

Do the mosquito nets come with instructions?

Box nets come with instructions, most nets are self explanatory, however if further information or help is required please contact us.

Do the cotton mosquito nets come in different colours? 

No. As colour preferences are varied we supply natural white only. The cotton canopies dye easily and the simplest and most effective dying product we have found is a product called Washing Machine Dye. Please be aware that slight shrinkage of approximately 5% may occur if very hot water is used. Use warm water only.

Do mosquito nets  come with a warranty?

Most products carry a one year limited warranty.

Do I have to use a frame?

No. The unique patented design of our box canopies is so versatile that you do not have to use a frame, you can simply suspend your canopy by suspending from ceiling hooks. We have found that the use of a frame whether it is bamboo, steel or timber adds to the presentation and visual impact of your display.

Will a box mosquito net fit on my Four Poster Bed?

Yes, in most situations. When choosing your canopy we suggest that you measure the top frame of your poster bed and then select the size you need. If there is not an exact match then select the next size up as excess fabric can be gathered into the corners. It can be attached in a variety of ways depending upon the type of four poster bed. Instructions are provided with the box mosquito net or contact us for more detailed information.

Is bamboo heavy?

No. A set of cured bamboo poles weighs only 4 Kilo's /8.8 pounds.

Do Mosquitonets supply bamboo frames?

No . We recommend US customers to purchase 4 bamboo poles from Beautiful Bamboo.  Other International customers will need to source poles domestically. If you find a supplier you would like to recommend please contact us!

What dimension poles do I need for a timber or bamboo frame?

Individualise your Box Mosquito Net by using our recommendations as a guide.

Single: 2 @ 4ft 7in and 2 @ 7ft 7in.

Double: 2 @ 5ft 2in and 2 @ 7ft 7in.

Queen: 2 @ 6ft 7in and 2 @ 7ft 11in.

King: 2 @ 7ft 7in and 2 @ 7ft 11in.

These dimensions allow the poles to overlap and "cross" in an attractive manner. We have found that using a diametre that ranges from 1 to 3 inches or 3 to 5cm to be the best.

What is the hidden frame for the mosquito net?

The box mosquito nets have a sleeve on the ceiling. This sleeve allows the use of 3/4 inch powder coated conduit, more commonly known as curtain rod, and corner brackets to create a frame that is hidden in the canopy ceiling.

Is the curtain rod frame heavy?

No. 4 lengths of rod weighs 2 kilograms / 4 pounds.

Where can I get a hidden frame?

You can make a frame by using curtain rod, available at most curtain product outlets, and cutting it to the following dimensions:

Single: 2 @ 81.1in and 2 @ 41.7in

Double 2 @ 81.1in and 2 @ 56.7in

Queen: 2 @ 83.5in and 2 @ 64.6in.

King: 2 @ 86.6in and 2 @ 74.8in

You will also require 4 right angled adjustable fittings that slide into the ends of the rod and create a rectangular frame. They are available from curtain hardware outlets.

How do I care for my Silk?

Silk fibres are very durable, stronger than other natural fibres. Silk will lose strength temporarily when it becomes wet and for this reason care is required. We recommend you dry clean your silk canopy using P 30. Do keep your silk out of direct sunlight to avoid damaging the fibres. Do not bleach. Cool iron using silk setting. With proper care silk will retain its elegant looks for years.

Does the Temple bed canopy fit on a queen bed?

Yes. This canopy will fit over all beds....from cots to kings. 

Does the Temple come with a frame?

Yes. The Temple is supplied with a foldable modular PVC frame that slides into a sleeve on the ceiling of the canopy.

Returns must be authorised with our office before sending to the warehouse. Contact us by email or telephone and lodge your intention to return and we will send you a return address label.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, excluding shipping. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

We are unable to refund used or damaged items, items that have been removed from their original packaging and are simply the wrong size, wrong colour or items not returned in their original packaging in a manner suitable for resale. If the item is returned in a damaged or unsuitable for resale manner we will charge a restocking fee of 50% of the items cost.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 business days).
