Description
Cotton Mosquito Net Box for Twin & Single Beds
A deluxe natural cotton box net with four openings, sized for a Twin or Single bed — and a favorite for children’s rooms. The structured box shape creates a four-poster canopy effect over any single bed, transforming it into something magical while giving complete insect protection from mosquitoes and biting insects when properly installed, sized and sealed, as the openings fall closed and the drapes hang to the floor.
Real woven cotton is soft, breathable and substantial — not the thin synthetic mesh of a cheap net. Where a budget polyester net frays, yellows and tears within a season, a well-cared-for cotton net lasts for years, so it is the better buy over its lifetime and far nicer to sleep under.

Easy Care
Cold-water machine wash on a delicate cycle, cold hand wash, or dry clean. Line dry — do not tumble dry. Warm iron if desired. Cotton netting is a natural product and moves a little when washed; if it loses shape, pull and stretch it back while still damp. Cotton netting may shrink about 5% in height in cold water, and over 10% if washed hot.

Twin & Single Cotton Mosquito Net — Frequently Asked Questions
Last reviewed: August 2026
What is the Twin and Single cotton mosquito net made from?
Real natural cotton netting with a run-proof weave — 256 holes per square inch. Unlike thin synthetic polyester or inferior muslin, this is genuine woven cotton: soft, breathable, substantial, and beautiful enough to double as a bedroom canopy. It comes in natural warm white.
What size bed does the Twin and Single cotton mosquito net fit?
It fits a standard Twin or Single bed (about 38" × 75"). The net measures 43" × 83" with an 86" (220 cm) drop — 110 × 210 cm — and is made "oversize" to cover the mattress and frame. Measure your bed first; for larger beds we make Double/Full, Queen, King and Super King.
Is the Twin cotton mosquito net a good choice for a child's room?
Yes — it is one of our most popular children's nets. It turns an ordinary single bed into a magical four-poster canopy, and gives complete protection from mosquitoes and biting insects when properly installed, sized and sealed. It contains no insecticide or chemical treatment, which makes it reassuring in a child's room.
Is the cotton mosquito net chemically treated?
No — it contains no insecticide, permethrin or chemical treatment of any kind, and it is not flame-retardant treated. It protects purely as a physical barrier of finely woven cotton, which makes it reassuring for children to sleep under night after night.
What color is the cotton mosquito net, and can it be dyed?
It comes in natural warm white only. Because it is real cotton, it takes home dye well — use a washing-machine dye in warm (not hot) water, remembering that cotton can shrink around 5% if the water is too warm. Polyester nets, by contrast, can only be dyed to a light shade.
How do you hang a Twin or Single cotton box mosquito net?
From the ceiling. It includes ceiling ties for attaching to a frame or four-poster bed, plus a sewn ceiling sleeve for a hidden curtain-rod frame, and you can also tie it directly to ceiling hooks. A single bed needs four ceiling points, one above each corner. Our DIY videos show the curtain-rod and bamboo-or-wood frame methods step by step.
Does the Twin cotton net keep mosquitoes out?
Yes — complete protection from mosquitoes and biting insects when properly installed, sized and sealed. The box shape has four openings that fall closed, a 28-inch (75 cm) overlap at each opening, and drapes that reach the floor, so there are no gaps. The 256-holes-per-square-inch weave is fine enough to keep biting insects out.
Can a mosquito net make a Twin bed look like a canopy bed?
Absolutely — it is the main reason parents choose it. Hung from ceiling ties, a curtain rod or a bamboo or wood frame, it creates a four-poster canopy effect over any ordinary single bed. Internal and external corner ties let you tie the sides open during the day.
How do you wash a cotton mosquito net?
It is machine washable — a cold-water delicate cycle, cold hand wash, or dry clean. Line dry and never tumble dry; warm iron if you like. Cotton moves a little when washed, but you can pull it back into shape while it is still damp. Expect about 5% shrinkage in cold water, and over 10% if washed hot, so always wash cold.
When can a child move from a crib net to a Twin net?
When a child moves from a crib to a toddler or single bed, the Twin/Single net is the natural next step — it keeps the same complete insect protection while creating a canopy children love. For infants still in a crib, see our dedicated crib netting range.

Single Cotton Canopy
I am in love with this Canopy. I have purchased from this company before, and love their Canopies. Their quality has exceeded my expectations and worth the price. I always feel like I am on vacation using them at home. So very happy! Thank you!

best mosquito netting ever!
I have used a mosquito net over my bed for the past five years, as I sleep open to the outdoors in Hawaii, and this is the first time I have found a cotton mesh. This is well-made with heavy bias around the hem and the 4 openings that it stay down without the necessity to tuck in. I have never seen all sides opening before and it is very helpful. The overlap at openings is greater than most and it stays shut, even in a breeze. The straps to hold it up are wide and secure, with the four corners being longer to skew outward to make it taut. It will be easy to remove to wash. Instructions are included to make a frame support with the dimensions necessary to make the top taut. I made one out of bamboo from my yard and it works perfectly. I highly recommend this cotton netting.

Mosquito netting
I grew up with mosquito netting in southern China. I built this cabana on lake Simcoe. This mosquito netting is almost exact copy the one in my childhood, beautiful woven cotton... how good is that!

Singe Box Mosquito Net
We recently moved into a place which turned out to be a mosquito haven and my daughter was getting eaten alive by mosquitoes every night. I was spending my nights mosquito swatting and she was still waking up covered in bites to which her skin reacted strongly. I purchased a single, cotton box mosquito net for her bunk bed, and whilst initially I was a little hesitant about the outlay and installing it one my own, we are both SO proud of and happy with our purchase. Not only can my daughter now sleep without getting attached by mozzies, but the beautiful cotton net has transformed her bunk into a 'princess bed'. She loves it and her little friends are now dying to come over for a sleepover. The mosquito net is not only well made, easy to install and totally effective but also very beautiful. I've just ordered one for myself too and I can't wait to transform my own bedroom. We love this product and I can't recommend it highly enough. Thank You.

Bunk Bed Luxury
I bought 2 single cotton nets to go over our bunk beds in an unscreened cabin in FNQ just as the March Flys hatched. They not only looked beautiful but provided a welcome sanctuary from the vicious little buggers plus various other biteys. I thought they may be a bit hot due to the heavy fabric but they let the breeze flow thru and didn't hold the heat at all. On hanging them they were a bit short (coming just to the bottom of the lower mattress) but 'dropped' about 5cm overnight, which suited me perfectly. I'm now looking at where else I can hang some they are so pretty.

Great quality and it works!
I'm using this mosquito net for my sons' bunk bed. This is the first one I found that actually works with a bunk bed. The quality is excellent. I have one from ikea for my bed that snags constantly and now lets in mosquitos. But this one is made of a quality cotton that is durable and the kids have not been bitten since we got it. Yay! I'll be buying one for our bed too.
