Description

Cotton Mosquito Net Box for Queen Beds

A deluxe natural cotton box net with four openings, sized for a Queen bed — one of our most popular sizes, and the shape couples prefer. The structured box shape creates a four-poster canopy effect over any Queen bed, transforming the room while giving complete insect protection from mosquitoes and biting insects when properly installed, sized and sealed, as the openings fall closed and the drapes hang to the floor.

Real woven cotton is soft, breathable and substantial — not the thin synthetic mesh of a cheap net. Where a budget polyester net frays, yellows and tears within a season, a well-cared-for cotton net lasts for years, so it is the better buy over its lifetime and far nicer to sleep under.

At a glance

  • ✓  Real woven cotton — breathable, substantial, and beautiful as a bedroom canopy.
  • ✓  Machine washable — most cotton nets are hand-wash only; ours goes in on a cold delicate cycle.
  • ✓  Built to last — run-proof weave, reinforced ceiling, and fully hemmed openings that fall closed.
  • ✓  256 holes per square inch — fine, sealed netting with no gaps.

Features

  • Complete insect protection from mosquitoes and biting insects when properly installed, sized and sealed — sealed openings, no gaps.
  • Versatile design — suspend with or without a frame.
  • Fully hemmed with a 1 inch (25 mm) cotton band so the openings fall closed and insects are kept out.
  • Four openings with a 28 inch (75 cm) overlap, so there are no gaps for mosquitoes to find.
  • Generously sized to surround your bed completely. Our canopies are made “oversize” to fit comfortably around most beds — please measure your bed before choosing a size.
  • 26 pairs of ceiling ties for attaching to a frame or four-poster bed (ties are 12 inch / 30 cm).
  • Ceiling sleeve for a curtain-rod frame, for a contemporary look.
  • Internal and external corner ties sewn in, so you can tie the sides open during the day.
  • Reinforced ceiling for structure and durability.

Fabric & Color

  • Natural warm white cotton with a run-proof weave.
  • 256 holes per square inch.
  • Real cotton netting — not inferior muslin or synthetic polyester.
  • Fully hemmed with a run-proof weave for reliable, sealed protection as the openings fall closed and the drapes reach the floor.

Size

This net fits Queen beds (about 60" × 80").

Bed size Net size (W × L) Metric (W × L)

Installation

  • Ceiling ties and a ceiling sleeve let this versatile net be displayed in several ways.
  • Every box net comes with display instructions.
  • Each corner has an internal and external tie, so the “doors” can be tied open during the day.
  • Use bamboo poles for a tropical feel or in large rooms.
  • Conceal a curtain rod for a contemporary look, or in smaller rooms.
  • It can also be attached directly to the ceiling with the corner ties, or used as a traditional four-poster canopy.

Easy Care

Cold-water machine wash on a delicate cycle, cold hand wash, or dry clean. Line dry — do not tumble dry. Warm iron if desired. Cotton netting is a natural product and moves a little when washed; if it loses shape, pull and stretch it back while still damp. Cotton netting may shrink about 5% in height in cold water, and over 10% if washed hot.

Queen Cotton Mosquito Net — Frequently Asked Questions

Last reviewed: August 2026

What is the Queen cotton mosquito net made from?

Real natural cotton netting with a run-proof weave — 256 holes per square inch. Genuine woven cotton: soft, breathable, substantial, and beautiful enough to double as a bedroom canopy. It comes in natural warm white.

What size bed does the Queen cotton mosquito net fit?

A standard Queen bed (about 60" × 80"). The net measures 67" × 86" with an 86" (220 cm) drop — 170 × 220 cm — made "oversize" to cover the mattress and frame. Measure first; we also make Twin/Single, Double/Full, King and Super King.

Does the Queen cotton net keep mosquitoes out?

Yes — complete protection from mosquitoes and biting insects when properly installed, sized and sealed. Four openings fall closed with a 28-inch (75 cm) overlap, and the drapes reach the floor, so there are no gaps. The 256-holes-per-square-inch weave is fine enough to keep biting insects out.

Is the Queen cotton mosquito net suitable for couples?

Yes — the box shape has four openings, one on each side, so two people sharing a Queen bed can get in and out independently without disturbing each other or leaving a gap. The box style is the shape we most often recommend for couples.

Is the cotton mosquito net chemically treated?

No — no insecticide, permethrin or chemical treatment of any kind, and it is not flame-retardant treated. It protects purely as a physical barrier of finely woven cotton, reassuring to sleep under night after night, including for children.

What color is the Queen cotton mosquito net, and can it be dyed?

Natural warm white only. Real cotton takes home dye well — use a washing-machine dye in warm (not hot) water, noting cotton can shrink around 5% if the water is too warm. Polyester nets can only be dyed to a light shade.

Which is better for a Queen bed — a box or a round mosquito net?

Both work beautifully. This box net suits couples who want a separate entry on each side and a structured four-poster look. For everyday use by couples we most often recommend the box.

How do you hang a Queen cotton box mosquito net?

From the ceiling — four ceiling ties or hooks above each corner (six for a more structured hang), a hidden curtain-rod frame via the sewn ceiling sleeve, or a bamboo or wood frame. Our DIY videos show the curtain-rod and bamboo-or-wood methods step by step.

Can the Queen cotton net be used as a decorative canopy without a four-poster bed?

Yes — no four-poster frame needed. It creates a four-poster canopy effect over any ordinary Queen bed. Many customers buy it mainly for that decorative effect, with the insect protection a welcome bonus. Corner ties let you tie the sides open during the day.

How long does a cotton mosquito net last, and how do I wash it?

With proper care, around ten years — far longer than a thin polyester net. Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle (or hand wash / dry clean), line dry, and never tumble dry. Expect about 5% shrinkage cold and over 10% hot, so always wash cold.

MAKES YOUR BEDROOM FEEL LIKE A TROPICAL RESORT

Posted by Unknown on 28th Jan 2018

The mosquito net is effective, preventing mosquitos from accessing the bed. A good flow of air is able to pass through the net ensuring comfort. The net is attractive in its colour and simplicity and makes one feel that one is staying in a tropical resort.

    Box Queen Net

Posted by Unknown on 9th Jul 2017

Very good net indeed. Used them for many years in Africa and this is probably the best that I have seen. My only improvement would be to add a wide solid material border at the bottom to make sure that the net hangs down and to stop damage from the floor.

    Quality and Beauty!

Posted by Bob on 11th Mar 2017

We love the cotton box net. The material doesn't snag or tear and it can be installed in so many ways because the ties are on both sides (with one side for use with a frame and the other can be hung or go over bed posts). It has openings on all 4 sides for convenience. High quality. We are pleased with our purchase.

    Very nice product.

Well made, fits perfectly and looks really great. The natural appearance of the cotton fabric is much nicer than synthetic materials, yet it is still light enough to allow airflow. Conveniently, also actually works to keep mosquitos out.
